Energy Efficiency Certificate
The energy efficiency certificate (EEC) is a mandatory document for selling or renting a property or premises, as well as for certain administrative procedures related to buildings.
At Civiltrek Ingeniería we perform the energy certificate through a technical visit to the property, where we analyze the characteristics of the house, such as enclosures, carpentry, air conditioning installations, hot water production and orientation of the building.
With this data we elaborate the calculation of the energy rating by means of the official software, obtaining the corresponding energy label (from A to G). In addition, we manage the registration of the certificate with the competent body of the Valencian Community, ensuring its legal validity.
We offer this service in the Marina Alta and other areas of the province of Alicante, making it easier for owners and landlords to obtain the energy certificate quickly and easily.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the energy certificate and what useful information does it really provide?
It is an official document that evaluates the energy performance of a home or premises, assigning it a rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient).
But beyond being mandatory to sell or rent, it provides key information: estimated consumption, emissions and recommendations for improvement. In areas such as the Marina Alta, where summer temperatures are high, this certificate can give very clear clues about the thermal comfort of the property.
What is the practical impact on a sale or lease?
It is becoming more and more important. A home with a better energy rating is usually more attractive because it means lower consumption and greater comfort.
In addition, it allows the buyer or tenant to understand whether they will need to invest in improvements (insulation, windows, air conditioning) or whether the property is already optimized.
Is it mandatory to have an energy certificate in all cases?
Yes, it is mandatory in most sales and rental transactions.
It must be available from the time the property is placed on the market, not just at the time of signing. In addition, the energy rating must appear in the advertisements.
Failure to do so may result in penalties and delays in the operation.
What aspects of the home most influence the energy rating?
Mainly insulation (facades, roof, windows), orientation, air conditioning systems and hot water production.
A poorly insulated home or one with inefficient installations will have a worse rating, regardless of its size or location.
Is it possible to improve the energy rating of a house?
Yes, and in many cases with relatively accessible performances.
Changing windows, improving insulation or upgrading air conditioning systems can be a significant improvement. The certificate itself includes guidance recommendations in this regard.
How long is an energy certificate valid?
It is valid for 10 years, although it can be updated earlier if improvements are made to the property that may change its rating.
Updating it after a renovation can be interesting to reflect the new state of the property.
